Use case
CBT practice so SS 3 students are not seeing a computer test for the first time
Some external exams in Nigeria, such as the UTME, are written on computers. Students who have only ever written on paper lose time to the format itself: reading on screen, moving between questions and watching a clock. Egold CBT lets your school run timed practice papers on computers well before the real thing.
Sound familiar?
-
Students panic on the day because the screen, the clock and the navigation are new to them.
-
Teachers cannot tell which topics the class keeps getting wrong until it is too late to reteach.
-
Practice papers on paper take days to mark, so students do not get feedback while it is fresh.
How it works
-
1
Load past questions
Import practice questions from Word or a spreadsheet, organised by subject and topic.
-
2
Run timed practice
Students practise with a countdown, a question map, "review later" flags and an on-screen calculator for Mathematics and Science.
The exam screen on a phone, with timer and submit button -
3
Review answers
After submitting, students see their score straight away. Teachers choose whether students may also see the correct answers.
-
4
Find weak topics
Question analysis shows which questions most students missed and which wrong option they chose, so you know what to reteach.

Questions about cbt practice for ss 3
Is Egold CBT connected to JAMB or WAEC?
No. Egold CBT is independent school software and is not affiliated with JAMB, WAEC or NECO. It helps students practise the computer-based format with your school's own questions.
Can students practise at home?
On the online version, yes: they sign in from any phone or computer. On the offline school server, practice happens on the school network.
Can a practice test be taken more than once?
Each published exam is one attempt per student. For repeated practice, publish a new paper or a reshuffled copy of the same questions.
